Boureki - Traditional Cretan Vegetarian Dish


  • Potatoes, sliced
  • Zucchinis, sliced
  • 2 Onions, chopped 
  • Fresh Mint, chopped
  • Cottage Cheese, 1 tub 
  • Feta, 1 packet 
  • Flour
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt/Pepper
  • breadcrumbs
  • cream (optional)


Coat the bottom of a lasagne dish with oil. Layer with the potatoes, zucchinis (coated in flour), chopped onion, cottage cheese, feta, mint, salt and pepper and finish with the potatoes on the top. Pour cream over if desired. Sprinkle breadcrumbs and olive oil over the potato. 

Bake in the oven for 45 minutes or until the potatoes are soft. 

Serve with pan-fried Fillets (see in store for selection).
