Introducing...Conger Eel


Conger Eel is caught in crayfish pots along with octopus. The eel is a Pacific speciality (e.g. in Japan) and is available year round. It is delicious smoked with a mild flavour and firm flesh. There are bones present so you must pick these out first. We sell Conger Eel naturally smoked and whole.

Conger eel is high in protein, vitamins A and E, and is a good source of omega-3. Try it sliced with brown bread or toast, lemon juice and pepper or in a risotto.
